The components of your system depend on the age of your home. If your home was built prior to 1973, your system will have a conduit which is the main line which leads from the house to a cesspool. If your house was built after 1973, you’ll be dealing with a septic tank. Septic tanks are located between the main line between the house and the cesspool.
